Battery switches are designed with safety in mind. They protect your electrical system by preventing the spread of flame during a fire. They do this by isolating the battery. The ABYC requires that all boats with 800 cranking amps or more have a battery switch installed. The HD-Series are rated for up to 600 Amps continuous for large diesel engines. They carry a durable case and have been designed with the harshest marine conditions in mind. This makes them perfectly suited for use in marine applications where exposure is a concern. Selecting the correct part is not an easy task. Contact a Pacer expert today with any questions that you may have.
