Blues Sea Systems compact high-amperage switches are vapor/ignition protected and UL listed. They are designed to increase safety on a marine vessel by isolating the battery in case of fire. A battery switch such as this is required to be on boats that have more than 800 cranking amps. The E-Series are 350 Amp continuous rated for outboards, small gasoline or diesel engines. These switches carry a 525 Amps (for approximately 5 mins.) intermittent rating. They have a crank rating of 10 seconds. All Pacer battery switches are built to handle the toughest marine conditions possible which is why you will find them on just about every larger size boat.
