Yes, and it's much easier than you think. Straight type battery boots prevent shocks, shorts, and corrosion. This boot is typically used to cover battery posts. Straight type boots offer protection for continuously energized parts. To use, start by disconnecting the point you would like to cover. Next, slide the straight type boot over the existing cable and connection point. After you reconnect the cable, pull the straight type boot into place.
