Marine-type battery boots prevent shocks, shorts, and corrosion. This boot is typically used in marine applications to cover secondary power or grounds. Marine-type boots offer protection for continuously energized parts. To use, disconnect the point you would like to cover. Next, slide the marine-type boot over the existing cable and connection point. After you reconnect the cable, pull the marine-type boot into place. Make sure to cover the connection point completely.
