Disconnect terminals are designed for quick connection and disconnection of two wires. Nylon fully-insulated disconnect terminals are perfect for use where field maintenance may be an issue. They allow the user to separate the connection as needed. How well do they hold? Nylon fully-insulated terminals are designed to hold long term. Each male tab comes with a hole that mates with the female terminal. A small protrusion on the female terminal fits into the hole ensuring they won't come apart. In this way, they can be connected indefinitely or disconnected as needed. Disconnecting will not damage or affect the male/female connection whatsoever. Nylon fully-insulated disconnect terminals are available in a variety of sizes and styles. Their color coded insulation makes selecting the correct size a breeze. Red insulated terminals are for use with 22-18 AWG wire. Blue insulated terminals are for use with 16-14 AWG wire. Yellow insulation is used for 12-10 AWG terminals.
