What are electrical parts?

Electrical parts are the functional components that keep your system operating smoothly. These are the pieces, both internal and external, that can be adjusted, switched, or otherwise manipulated to control or monitor electrical flow. Examples include breakers, switches, meters, bus bars, battery chargers, or any of a number of electrical supplies.

It’s important to note that not everything in your system is considered an “electrical part.” For instance, terminals, like wire or cable, are designed simply to carry current and create secure connections. They don’t move or change states the way functional parts do.

When we talk about electrical parts, we’re focusing on the elements that give you control and feedback within your system. A switch turns on and off. A breaker can be reset. A meter fluctuates with changing loads. These are the components that actively contribute to the functionality of your electrical setup.

"When we use the term electrical parts, it is meant to intend the functional pieces of your electrical system."
