What types of bulbs are available?
Pacer Group carries a wide range of LED bulbs such as G4, side pin, parallel pin, twist pin, and more. Each type of LED bulb has been designed with a specific application in mind. That is to say, that they are designed to work with a certain type of fixture. Below we will take a look at some of the more common types of LED bulbs you’re likely to encounter.
Straight Pin Bulb

Straight pin bulbs are just like they sound. The connection pins are coming out in a straight path at the bottom of the bulb. These are a common bulb option found in a large number of LED lighting assemblies. They are easy to install and replace. We offer these bulbs in 12V, 12-24V, 120V, or 220V options. Additionally, you can choose from warm white light or cool white light.
Side Pin Bulb

Side pin bulbs carry the connection pins on the side of the bulb housing. These bulbs are available in 10W or 20W depending on your specific needs. Choose from cool white, warm white, natural white, blue, green, or red light in order to get the type of lighting you need. These bulbs are fairly common and known for their ease of installation.
Parallel Pin Bulb

Parallel pin bulbs carry strips of internal LEDs that are run in parallel rows, hence the name. Each bulb is available in either 120-volt AC or 110/300-volt DC giving you the option to choose the parallel pin bulb that best suits your needs. Parallel pin bulbs are less common than some of the other types of LED bulbs we offer, however, they are extremely useful.
Twist Pin Bulb

Twist pins are another common bulb type that we offer. They get their name from the way they are secured in place. You push the twist pin bulb into the socket and twist, locking it in place. This action makes them easy to install which is part of the reason they are so common. We offer twist pin bulbs in 12V, 24V, 120V, and 12-24V so that you can get the type you need.
Festoon Bulb

Pacer Group’s SV8 36MM festoon bulbs are available in 12V or 24V and carry connection points on both sides of the bulb itself. We offer these festoon bulbs in warm white, cool white, blue, red, or green light making them a solid choice. Each festoon bulb is easy to visually identify which reduces the chance of using the incorrect bulb.
Arrow End Bulb

Arrow end bulbs get their name from the shape of their body. Pacer Group offers arrow bulbs in either 1W or 2W at 10-30V DC making them useful in a variety of situations. When selecting your arrow bulb, you can choose from cool white or warm white light. Arrow end bulbs are known for their ease of installation and longevity.
Bi-Color/Quad-Color Bulb

Bi-color light offers two different color options whereas quad-color lights offer four color options. Some of our bi-color options include; cool white and blue, cool white and green, and warm white and red. Some of our quad color options include; warm white, blue, red, and green, or cool white, blue, red, and green. This way you can get the lights you need in the colors you want.
Are they designed to handle the marine environment?

All Pacer Group LED bulbs have been designed with the harsh marine environment in mind. To make these bulbs even better, they are designed to be used inside of assemblies giving them an additional level or protection.
Why are there so many different types of bulbs?

Each type of lighting assembly uses a specific bulb or set of bulbs that are the most efficient for that particular assembly. Rather than just use one type of bulb repeatedly, manufacturers realized that there is no one size fits all when it comes to lighting. In this way, the types of bulbs reflect their actual uses. Pacer Group strives to gives you choice and that’s why we carry so many different types of bulbs. We even carry some of the more obscure styles that are uncommon. All of this to give you choice. What good is carrying G4, side pin, straight pin, etcetera if what you really need is an arrow bulb. By offering so many choices, we give you the freedom to create your own solutions. Choosing the correct bulb is not an easy task. Contact a Pacer Group expert today with any questions that you may have.
