Bus bar wire is a type of wire that is made from a single conductor. The wire itself is bare. This means that it is unshielded, unjacketed, and uninsulated. Since the wire itself is bare, it is solid instead of being stranded wire. All of Pacer bus bar wires are made in accordance with QQ-W-343-F. Why would you use bus bar wire? This type of wire is made to be used with, well, bus bars. Bus bars are a strip of conductive metal. They are used in battery banks, switchboards and many other applications. They are used as a cost effective and convenient way of distributing electricity. This distributed electricity is sent to multiple outgoing feeder lines. It is these feeder lines that are made of tinned copper bus bar wire. Need more clarification? Contact a Pacer expert today with any questions that you may have.
